One of the methods search engines use to evaluate and rate content within a website or blog page is calculation of the ‘HTML to text ratio’. This ratio indicates whether most of the page’s content is HTML code or actual text content. The lower the ratio, the more important the text will seem to the engine. This is one reason to locate your CSS and JavaScript code in external files. Search spiders do not evaluate these external files as part of the ratio, meaning that the clean content that remains in the main file will be given more priority than if it were lost in a sea of extraneous code.

Integrated marketing is the use of two or more marketing channels to sell a product or service. The same message is sent via multiple marketing channels, such as web, radio, TV, and postal mail. By using several channels, you widen the exposure of a company’s brand or product.
With integrated marketing, you create a product message that is both consistent with and relevant to the target customer. You can produce campaigns with unified messaging for TV, radio, Web, and newspaper print ads. The keywords, the unique selling proposition (USP), the messaging, the look, the sound, and the customer can all be unified into a broad ad campaign that works in multiple channels.

Are you new to the blogging community looking desperately for clues to increase your blog standing in the popularity charts? Do not despair. Here are some tips to help you on your way to success, some ground rules that you should clearly and consistently focus on. If you have time and can put in the effort you could implement these methods yourself. In case you are hard pressed for both there are professionals out there who can promote your blog and make it arrive on the blogosphere map.
While building a blog make sure you put in some planning. The content should be interesting, informative and useful to visitors. It should be keyword rich too in order to figure prominently in search engine results. So putting in posts that are sensible with keyword rich titles makes sense. Also the way the blog is organized has its own importance. Instead of just plain text going for pages, you could intersperse your content with charts and explanatory graphs, make it more formatted with indentations, bulleting etc. A good look and feel of a blog impresses visitors and makes them re-visit. There are many sources of traffic for a blog - search engines, social media, other blogs linking, word-of-mouth and so on. Your aim should be to tap from more than one of these sources. Relying on just one source might eventually prove to be risky because if for some reason that source fails your blog traffic could plummet. Instead you could identify sources that work well for you that is, give you maximum traffic and focus on strengthening those. You should keep your blog active by posting on a regular basis so that there is fresh content to look over when ever a visitor comes. New posts make a good impression of the blog being active. Comments for the posts also gives a favorable image of the blog being interesting and worth while. Inbound linking has two advantages - generating traffic from other blogs and increasing your search engine ranking. When you place your blog URL on already popular blogs the likelihood of those visitors coming in to peep at yours is high too. So in-bound linking is something you should keep as a priority.
Getting repeat visitors is the best thing that could happen to a blog. It is a clear indicator that the blog has touched a spot - chances are very bright that such repeat visitors not only try to be participative in the blog by placing comments but also promote your blog among his/ her acquaintance. So a trusted network gets built this way - there is nothing like personal vouching for a blog. Keeping visitors coming back for more is in your hands - good content, consistent posting, sensible archiving and organizing of content are the keys. Next is for you to become part of the blogger community. Help others to help yourself should be your motto. Votes from social media, inbound links, motivation, new ideas are only some of the merits of being part of a large network.
