In this era of science and Information Technology, the role of teacher in different Spheres of education has changed a lot. Only those teachers who have up-dated knowledge, research-based pedagogy-technique, juxtaposition of classical and modern schools of thought and multi-dimensional personality can satisfy the hungry and throbbing minds of current generation. Today’s students demand an encyclopedia-cum-prophet sort of teacher in all subjects. The above discussed scenario has coined a term ICT (information communication technology) and it has become almost indispensable for teachers to well-equipped them with this modern technique for their better performance and respectable survival.

A teacher plays pivotal role in character-building, intellectual grooming and spiritual-actualization of a student. Metaphorically speaking, they are the guiding stars for their disciples who bestow upon them the sense to explore new horizons and discover hidden

Universal truths. In this age of cut-throat competition, only those students can achieve the top slots that are all-rounders with multi-faceted knowledge in all subjects. Bygone are those days when subjects of Humanities were taught just for treat. Teachers of this group are bound to make their subjects lively, high-scoring with their modern and conceptual way of teaching. To accomplish this daunting task, teachers have to spend lot of time in libraries and net-surfing to equip themselves with latest and more authentic knowledge. Only downright and thoroughly professional teachers can meet the demands of this modern era of information and quality-consciousness. In this conscious attempt of modernization by teachers will set an example for students as their teachers will lead from front. Reading of books, knowledge of purposeful websites, references from current-affairs, awareness of social and economic set-ups have become compulsory for a teacher and these factors will give him an upper hand on his contemporaries.

Symbolically speaking if country is considered as land, students as crops and teachers as farmers then the quality of crop is directly related with the hard work of farmer and his vision can transform a barren land into a lush green valley. And in modern times the importance of farmer has increased and they have become primarily responsible for the progress of a country. Teaching is no more a monotonous and low-paid job of losers; it has become a dynamic and progressive profession due to modern research and implementation of ICT (information communication technology).
