‘Dark Age’ became the part of history due to the scarcity of information and dearth of technology. Modern Age is known for abundance of information and revolution of technology. These two phenomena have become part and parcel of our daily life. As it is said, “Excess of every thing is bad” modern man is striving to find out the answer of a burning question, what can be an ideal combination of information and technology?

America destroyed Iraq? Because they know that WMD (weapons of mass destruction) which they provided to Iraq during Iraq-Iran War can be used by extremists against America. Now if this technology comes in the hands of Anti-American lobby then it can be used in negative way. Due to wrong assumptions which are based on wrong information, terrorists are using latest technology in negative way. Availability of cell phones, satellite radios, suicidal jackets, remote-control bombs has increased the problem to control terrorism in different countries. For an individual usage of technology is based upon his level of information. If different sources of information (educational institutes, media, and society) are providing him distorted information then he will use technology in the same way or vice-versa. Moral degradation, political disorder, violence, are the aftermaths of wrong use of technology which is based on wrong information.

 If the movers and shakers of IT do not pay special heed towards an appropriate and judicious balance of information and technology then its aftereffects will be drastic. There should be responsible harmony between these two closely knitted terms for the positive usage of Information Technology. Otherwise the vicious circle of change will throw us back to the Dark Age.
