Pakistan is a country with plenty of natural resources. The natural resources like water, fertile land and coal could be used for agricultural and industrial progress but most of the resources are misused due to administrative crisis. Government did not pay attention to any hot issue which is disturbing the life of citizens. The major problem is lack of electrical power. Electrical power is necessary for the growth of agricultural and industrial sector which results as the better living standard of all citizens.

Pakistan had been facing the problem for five years but government failed to solve it. It is public opinion that the government is not interested to encounter this issue. Citizens are facing sixteen hour daily load shedding in rural areas where electricity is necessary to run the tube well or turbines to get water for crops because water is not available in canals and rivers due to the Indian water terrorism. It is another problem which government has to solve.

There was a huge public protest against the load shedding or power cut. But government did not consider it because all government ministers were deadly busy in NRO and Khyber Pakhtonkhah issues and they have no time for such matters which are only related to public. Public has to solve the electrical crisis itself by buying UPS or generators so that all capitalists could earn handsome money. I think this scenario shows that there is no place for poor people in Pakistan. Government minister promised to solve the problem up to the end of 2009 but he failed to meet the requirements.

The electricity tariff is not in favor of public. Government has increased 1.02 rupees per unit without any prior announcement. Now the unit price is out side the buying power of a common citizen. Another amazing thing is that the television license fee which has been increased from 25 rupees to 35 rupees without any public notice. The simple question is that PTV is government channel and earning huge revenue from the advertisement then why it is difficult to run the channel with this revenue?

Now the government has found a smart solution and issued an order for two weekly holidays. Government departments or institutions were failed to manage the problems in six working days and how it would be possible in five working days. The logic of the order is that the departments, schools and other institutions remain close and results as less electricity consumption. Public is now praising the government to have a wonderful solution instead of running the power plants at full capacity or instead of installation of new power plants.

Now the web of problems is so thick that no government could manage it easily. Even with the proper planning and right administrative steps it would takes time. Government is in trouble due to high expectations of public and lot of agitation between different political parties.

The above discussion is a humble submission by a patriotic Pakistani not a political opinion. May God give our country prosperity, peace and strength to face such problems because it is difficult to eliminate them.
